Expected columns

Your columns don't need these exact names: after you choose a file, a mapping window lets you match each field to your own column.

    Countries and currencies

These countries appear in every Country dropdown in Marketing Budget, and each one has its own Data and Upload. The rate converts a country's currency into the reporting currency for "All countries" totals.

    Add a country

    Reporting currency

These budgets fill the Budget column on the Store wise page, split by month using the monthly spend plan. Every store here also appears in the Country, Emirate / State and Store filters.

Each category's budget is its spend plan % of this country's total budget (Store wise + Brand wise). These budgets fill the Category wise page, split by month using the monthly spend plan.

    Add a category

The categories should add up to 100% of the store budget.

    Bulk upload

Columns: Category, Percentage. Existing categories are updated by name; new ones are added.

    Departments

Each department has its own currency and monthly P&L uploads. The rate converts its currency into AED for the "All departments" view.

    Add a department

Upload each month's P&L exactly as exported from the ERP. Uploading into a month replaces only that month.

    Match P&L lines

Choose Upload on a month. After you match the columns, pick which P&L line is Revenue, Cost of sales and so on. Your choice is remembered for this department.

    What the file needs

PDF from the ERP: upload it as it is. The app reads the Revenue, Cost of Sales, Income and Expenses sections and their totals, and removes the account codes from line names. Excel or CSV: any layout with one column of line names and one of amounts.

    Particulars,Amount Total Revenue,1104000 Cost of Sales,801000 Gross Profit,303000 Total Operating Expenses,253000 Net Profit,51060
    • Title rows above the headings are fine; the mapping window finds the heading row.
    • If Gross profit or Net profit isn't a line in the file, choose "Calculate" and it's worked out.
    • Amounts in brackets, like (1,250), are read as negative.

    Full backup and restore

Everything in this app, saved as one file (or several numbered parts of up to 100 MB each for large data): users and access, Marketing Budget (every year and country), E-Commerce Analytics, E-Com Target X Actual, Communication Channel with attached files, Purchase Analysis and settings. Keep it somewhere safe; restoring it brings the whole app back on this or another computer.

    Automatic daily backup

While the app is open in this browser, a full backup is made every 24 hours and saved to this computer's Downloads (point Downloads at a Google Drive folder to send it to Drive). Small backups can also be emailed. It checks every 15 minutes, so keep the app open on a computer that's used daily.

Uses the Service ID and Public key from Password reset emails. In the EmailJS template set To email to {{to_email}}, and under Attachments add a Variable attachment with parameter name backup_file and file name {{file_name}}.

The backup includes every user's password, so protect it. You'll need this password to restore it. Leave both empty to keep the current one.

    Data

Budget data is kept in this browser only.
